Old School Runescape Market Big Changes – Abyssal Whip Dropped to one million Gold

The Old School Runescape market has been quite active this month with some major changes to the economy. The most notable change has been the price of the Abyssal Whip, which has dropped to nearly one million OSRS Gold coins for the first time in its history. This is largely due to the release of the Phantom Muspa boss and the Venator Bow, which allows players to attack multiple monsters at once and makes killing Abyssal Demons much easier.

The Venator Bow has held its value remarkably well since its release, only dropping by about 30% in the weeks following its release. The Venator Shards have also held their value at around five million Gold coins each.

Elsewhere in the market, the Abyssal Dagger has seen a huge surge in value due to an upcoming update that will make its special attack more powerful. The dagger has gone from 1.8 million coins in mid-January to 4 million coins today. However, it is still not expected to outperform the Dragon Dagger, so we may see its price drop back to its previous level.

Runes have been trending downwards with Blood Runes, Nature Runes, and Cosmic Runes all experiencing significant drops in price. Many players are now switching to Cosmic Runes as they are much more accessible, causing Cosmic Rune prices to drop to around 90 GP.

The Accursed Scepter and Thamron Scepter have seen the greatest decrease in value, with the Accursed Scepter dropping from 58 mil to around 5 mil.

Other weapons that were introduced in the update, such as the Webweaver Bow and Crossbow, have been performing well in the market. The Webweaver Bow has held steady at around 50 mil, and the Crossbow has not seen much change yet, despite its increased drop rate from revenants.

Forestry Update
Forestry update and certain items have been specifically named as being used in the update, such as limestone, cooked meat, ultra compost, balls of wool, and gold bars. The prices of these items have seen some movement, particularly limestone, but nothing too drastic.

Wilderness Rework
The biggest update of the month, however, has been the Wilderness rework, which saw the introduction of several new weapons, such as the Void Waker. The Void Waker saw a massive spike on its release day, starting at around 500 mil, and has since fallen to around 186 mil. It is popular and powerful, and therefore demand for the item is high. However, the price of the item will depend heavily on the supply that is released into the market.

The Ursine Chain Mace and Vigoras have seen a decrease in prices since the Wilderness rework, with the Ursine dropping from 75 mil to around 30 mil and the Vigoras from 14 mil to 11 mil. This is likely due to the increased popularity of the Crossbow as an alternative weapon.

High-level seed market
Finally, the high-level seed market has been greatly affected by the updates, with seeds such as Torstol and Snapdragon dropping in value by nearly 10 times. Prices of associated potions, such as Super Restores and Prayer Potions, have also decreased, making farming and potions more accessible to a wider audience.

Overall, the Oldschool Runescape Market has seen a few changes as a result of the recent updates, but most of the changes seem to be minor. Prices for some items are likely to continue to change as more information about the updates is released and as more players begin to farm RS GOLD with the new bosses.
