Lahore: Barrister Ibraz Butt, a prominent lawyer, political leader, and legal strategist, continues to play an active role in both Pakistan’s legal and political spheres through his leadership positions and extensive public service experience.
Currently serving as Secretary Information Lahore of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Youth Wing, Butt has held several key positions within the party at district, provincial, and central levels. His political journey reflects years of grassroots engagement and organizational leadership, earning him recognition as a dynamic young political figure.
In addition to his party responsibilities, he was appointed as Chief Coordinator Law in the Chief Minister’s Youth Mobilization Committee and previously served as Coordinator Punjab for the Pakistan Red Crescent. He was also selected as part of the inaugural cohort of PILDAT’s Young Politicians Fellowship Programme, conducted in collaboration with Tabeer, a prestigious initiative aimed at fostering democratic leadership among emerging politicians.
Barrister Butt has also contributed to national policy discussions through his role as Deputy Chairperson of the Youth Standing Committee on National Security-II (External Security and Defence), where he engaged in matters concerning national security and youth participation in policymaking.
Professionally, Barrister Butt serves as Managing Partner of Legal Solutions. He holds a law degree from Buckinghamshire New University and completed his Bar-at-Law qualification from BPP University. Among the notable cases associated with his legal career are the widely reported Ms. X Dhol Player rape case and the Greece boat tragedy case, which involved the deaths of 83 Pakistani nationals and exposed an international human smuggling network. In the latter, he served as counsel alongside the prosecution during proceedings related to the tragic incident.
Further reflecting his commitment to the legal fraternity, Barrister Butt serves as President Punjab of the Young Lawyers Forum Pakistan, where he advocates for the professional development and representation of young legal practitioners.
