CSULB Academic Calendar – Fall 2021
The new CSULB academic calendar will have a few changes for Fall 2021 classes. The Faculty deadline for submitting final grades for the spring of 2022 has changed. The Residence Halls will close at 11 p.m. and Fall break will be three days instead of five. Faculty Senate meeting minutes will also be posted on the calendar. The dates and times of various events can help you plan your time.
Fall 2021 class schedule
If you’re a student at MYCSULB, it may be helpful to look at the Fall 2021 class schedule to see which courses are offered. The schedule is divided into two different formats – face-to-face and hybrid. Face-to-face classes require a student to be physically present on campus. You can view the list of available courses by college, academic subject, or general education category. The list is updated regularly to reflect changes to the official class schedule.
Faculty deadline to submit final grades for spring 2022
The deadline to submit final grades for spring 2022 is May 17. The deadline is the same as that for the winter session. The Office of the Registrar will notify faculty via email of the posting process. Grade rosters are available in KSIS the day after the last class. Non-standard time classes have a May 17 deadline. Faculty are encouraged to submit grades early to ensure students have time to review and address any academic concerns.
Residence Halls close at 11 p.m.
The University reserves the right to change the opening and closing dates of residence halls. Dates may change based on University needs and calendar. Residents must schedule a move-in time for Summer B (June) and Fall (August) semesters. Summer A and Spring A residents are not required to schedule a move-in time. The rent is due on the second Friday after classes start and are not prorated.
Fall break changed to three days from five
The University Academic Calendar was recently updated. The current Fall semester concludes on Sunday, Dec. 10, while Spring semester is scheduled to run from Monday to Thursday, May 7-10. The calendar is also subject to change, so it is important to check it regularly. For example, if the date of Fall break is not the same as the date of mid-year recess, the schedule for the next semester might change. Alternatively, the University Academic Calendar may also change in the future.
