You need a HB pencil to create weed drawings. Also, you will need a soft pencil to create lines that run along the leaf.
Steps to create cannabis drawings
Step 1: Draw a vertical line.
Step 2: Cut the line into two halves. Now cut the upper half again. You can do this by creating dots to mark the halves.
Step 3: Draw a horizontal line in the middle of the upper half.
Step 4: Take the lower part and divide it into three parts. Again make the dividers by placing a dot on the line
Step 5: Draw a horizontal line over the first mark.
Step 6: No create twenty degree lines from the second dot. The lines should be slanting and should connect the upper most horizontal line.
Step 7: Similarly draw thirty degree lines from the lower most dots. Connect these lines to the second line. These lines are below the twenty degree lines. The slanting lines are the leaves.
Step 8: Now draw forty degree lines from the lower most dot.
Step 9: Continue doing this till you get seven lines on either sides.
Step 10: From isosceles triangles with the connecting the tip of the slanting lines. Isosceles triangles are triangles whose adjacent sides (other than the base) are equal in length.
With this, we have completed the rough sketch of the weed drawings. Now we have to finish the drawing.
To complete the drawing, draw curved lines from the central line to the ends. Use a soft pencil to create these lines. Make sure these lines are lighter than the edges of the leaf. Connect these lines inwards. With this you should complete the outline of the leaf. Repeat the same to the other slanting lines or the leaves. After completing the lines of all the leaves, darken the outer edges.
Tips to draw weed drawings
- Create a good drawing set up before you start drawing.
- Your drawing board should be bigger than your paper.
- Break your leaf into smaller shapes. For instance, a cannabis leaf has five to six segments. Draw the segments first.
- Go to the details of the drawing after completing the outline.
- Practice twice or thrice to get a perfect drawing.
- Always create drawings from what you see. That is, it is good to have a picture of cannabis leafbefore you create weed drawings.
