Yamaha YZF R7

Yamaha YZF R7 was first introduced in 1999. It has only 500 units; some were given to the Yamaha racing team, and some were used as a showpiece, which is also the reason this bike has gained little popularity.

YZF R7 has DOHC 689cc 4-stroke engine with an inline twin-cylinder. Similarly to the other Yamaha bikes, it has a liquid-cooled engine. With the aggressive 80.0mm x 68.6mm bore x Stroke ratio Yamaha YZF R7’s top Speed is 139 mph.

For the best power delivery, it has a 6-speed transmission with a multi-plate wet clutch and Assist & Slipper clutch. Its telescopic front fork with 5.1-in travel and linked-type Monocross rear shock with 5.1-in travel gives a smooth ride to the rider. Riders need extra protection and immediate responding brakes on the track so to overcome this situation, Yamaha added a Dual 298mm hydraulic disc for the front wheel and a single 245mm hydraulic disc for the rear wheel.

It is a race-ready bike with track tires of 120 / 70ZR17 Bridgestone® BATTLAX HYPERSPORT S22 F for the front wheel and 180/55ZR17 Bridgestone® BATTLAX HYPERSPORT S22 R for the rear wheel.

Both front and rear brake has ABS as well. You are going to get the smooth-riding experience with its Inverted telescopic front fork with 5.1-in travel and Monocross single rear shock with 4.9-in travel.

Conclusion:

If you are an experienced rider and want a brand new superbike, you can choose Yamaha YZF R1. As it has the most powerful engine and top Speed. But if you are good with the used superbike. And love speed, then you can go with the Yamaha YZF R6.

Both Yamaha YZF R7 and R6 GYTR are for the race track, so a normal person has no use of them. But if you want a bike for the race track, you can choose between them. R7 has only few production units. So it may be painful to find one for you, so you can choose the 2023 R6 GYTR, which is readily available in the market.

If you are buying a bike for fun, you can go with the Yamaha YZF R3 or Yamaha YZF R15. Both are lightweight and good for the beginner as they have low engine power and low price.
