Waterfalls
There are few more refreshing things than standing under a rushing waterfall, and Oregon has no shortage of them. While Multnomah Falls is the most well-known (and for a good reason, at 611 feet tall), it’s far from the only one worth visiting.
Bridal Veil Falls, located in the Columbia River Gorge, is a two-for-one: you can take in the beauty of the falls from above or below. If you’re feeling adventurous, hike to the top of the cliff for a stunning birds-eye view.
Another option is Silver Falls State Park, where you can find the tallest waterfall in the state, South Falls. At 177 feet, it’s more than twice the height of Multnomah Falls. A remarkable feature of Silver Falls is that you can walk behind 10 of the waterfalls in the park, getting up close and personal with these natural wonders.
You can continue your waterfall tour at Watson Falls, the third tallest waterfall in Oregon at 272 feet. It’s located in the Umpqua National Forest in southern Oregon and is easily accessible from Highway 138.
