Some people see training as a way to improve their physical appearance. Others turn it into a philosophy of life.
That is the case of Simone Etere, an Italian athlete and coach who, over the past few years, has built one of the most followed communities in the international Calisthenics and functional fitness scene, transforming a childhood passion into a career that now allows him to collaborate with global brands, travel the world, and represent Italy on some of the most important sporting and media stages.
Born in 1997 in Sansepolcro, Tuscany, Etere discovered the world of movement at a very young age. At just ten years old, he was introduced to Parkour, a discipline that was beginning to gain popularity in Italy during the early 2000s. Jumping across rooftops, climbing obstacles, developing balance, and mastering body control quickly became part of his everyday life.
What for many would have remained a simple hobby gradually evolved into a lifelong pursuit of human potential and physical excellence.
Over the years, Simone explored different training methodologies until he found in Calisthenics the discipline that best reflected his vision of sport: strength, control, coordination, and physical development through bodyweight training.
His journey was also influenced by his older brother, a paratrooper in the Folgore Brigade, who introduced him to the world of advanced athletic preparation and military discipline.
“I have always believed that true strength is not only physical,” Simone says. “Discipline is what keeps you moving forward when motivation is no longer enough.”
Today, millions of people follow his content across social media platforms. A reputation built not only through athletic performances, but also through his ability to introduce new challenges, innovative training methods, and unique skills.
Among these, the Neck Hold stands out — a training practice that uses the neck as the primary point of support and resistance. Over the past few years, it has attracted the attention of millions worldwide, helping establish Simone as one of the most recognizable figures in digital fitness.
Despite the spectacular nature of some of his performances, Simone consistently emphasizes one principle above all others: safety.
“Every exercise requires preparation, progression, and respect for the process. Social media shows the final result, but behind it are years of hard work.”
His rise in popularity coincided with the global expansion of Calisthenics, a discipline that has experienced remarkable growth, particularly throughout Asia, the Middle East, and South America.
As the movement continued to grow, Simone Etere’s name quickly expanded beyond national borders.
Over the years, he has collaborated with international brands including Puma, Gillette, American Tourister, and YoungLA, while continuing to coach athletes and fitness enthusiasts from dozens of countries through online coaching programs and specialized courses.
Today, his professional life is divided between training, international travel, workshops, and media productions.
Among his most notable appearances are the reality show 48h No Limits and the film Cassino in Ischia for Paramount+. In the coming months, he will also be featured in a major international production centered around physical competition, bringing together elite athletes and well-known public figures. The project is expected to be officially announced soon and represents another important milestone in his professional journey.

Yet 2026 will not be remembered solely for athletic achievements.
Recently, Simone became the father of a baby boy named Samson — an event he considers the most significant transformation of his life.
“I have faced competitions, traveled the world, and taken on countless challenges, but nothing compares to the responsibility of becoming a father.”
These words reveal a side of Simone that is often overshadowed by his athletic accomplishments.
Behind the athlete and content creator is a man deeply connected to family values, faith, and his roots.
Despite living an increasingly international lifestyle, Simone remains proud of where he comes from.
“I was born in Tuscany, but I also carry within me the culture of Campania and Calabria. Wherever I go, I represent the values that shaped me.”
In an era where success is often measured by numbers, views, and followers, Simone Etere’s story offers a different perspective.
It is a story about how daily discipline, the ability to reinvent oneself, and unwavering commitment to personal values can transform a passion born in a small Italian town into a career capable of inspiring millions of people around the world.
