The battle against the big insect is semi hard since you have no magic in this part of the battle you need to get up to like level 12 for you to have good chance of winning it overall once you win the battle you get good weapon allowing you get much better attack than the weak attack from your bone it can allow like all the other weapons allow you to be able to boost it’s attack strength by you using it more which can be useful when you go against harder enemies such as when you leave prehistoric part of the game the strength really rockets up the bald barbarians sort looking guys will be able to kill you with like 5 attacks so during that part of it you need to work on boosting your level to like 18 to 20 to be on the safe side even if you go to like say level 5 with armour it’s still not a lot to boost the defense of the character enough but the dog defense be fine here.
The boy is the magic one whole the dog is more the physical attack or defence one so big difference in combat uses if you have both to play with overall.
I like a lot the dog can change from different looks such as when you get the dog he first looks more like big wold then he goes into a more traditional themed dog and he ends up looking more like a robotic themed dog which is very cool seeing how the dog changes throughout the storyline to me.
Having to collect or buy resources like being adult is a smart idea to meaning if you want to use magic you will often have to buy of people who can allow magic to work for you but you only get 8 magic forms allowed at any part of the game so it teaches in you in some ways how to plan the best moves for what combat you prefer using overall .
The game will often move from being super easy to super hard depending on the level you are when you go into this part of the storyline so try when possible to work on boosting your level of the boy or dog a like to stop you facing of against standard baddies who can say kill you with like 1 to 2 hits which can happen fairly often it when you move to different levels the baddies jump by like 5 to 10 levels roughly to me so be aware of throughout play time is good idea to me.
The game is more of puzzle compared to the first one so sometimes you maybe forced to replay a full area to complete it such as when you get your dog back after the flood happens you will be forced to go into like Egyptian inspired area which can be sometimes a bit of hard puzzle to solve for me anyway but I am bad at puzzle games so if you good be easy for you to probably as a whole.
