My first real connection to health came through my grandmother’s garden. I was nine years old and made a school project about medicinal plants, guided by her wisdom. That was the seed of everything I am today,” recalls José Antonio Sánchez, a seasoned professional whose career spans elite football locker rooms and the backstage of global music tours.
From La Liga’s RC Celta de Vigo to Jennifer Lopez’s dressing room, Sánchez has built a unique reputation as both a sports chiromassage therapist and a renowned naturopath. His hands have treated World Cup champions, Grammy-winning artists, and countless elite athletes—all following one golden rule: “Listen to the body with respect.”
Healing Muscle, Mind, and Gut
“I’ve always believed that the physical body can’t be separated from emotional or nutritional health,” Sánchez explains. “I’ve seen chronic injuries rooted in gut inflammation or unresolved stress. His clinical space is a reflection of that philosophy: lined with herbal jars, cellular nutrition guides, massage tables, and diagnostic charts. For Sánchez, healing means understanding the client as a whole—whether it’s a football star or a touring performer.
From Balaídos Stadium to JLo’s World Tour
During his five years with RC Celta de Vigo, he worked with top players like David Silva, Diego López, José Manuel Pinto, Silvinho, and a young Iago Aspas. “In professional sports, every day counts. A good massage can mean the difference between recovering from a strain or sitting out for a month,” he says.
His leap into showbiz came by surprise: “It was thanks to a former student of mine, Ruth Beltrán, who recommended me to Jennifer Lopez’s tour team. What mattered was my experience—and discretion, essential in these situations.”
“Jennifer was total professionalism. Behind the iconic image, I found a warm, dedicated team,” he recalls. “I treated her staff the way I would treat an athlete before a big match—by listening, assessing, and adapting the treatment.”
Educator, Author, and Researcher
Sánchez is also the founder and director of the European School of Natural Therapies (ESPS), an international training institute with locations in Spain, Thailand, Mexico, Germany, and more. Each year, he trains hundreds
