Organizers of #ModiNotWelcome are inviting locals to Stand in Solidarity with all the Victims of a Racist Criminal Justice System and Hindutva.
Washington, USA, June 2023 — Impacted Community has organized a protest event planned for 11:30 am, Thursday June 22, 2023 at Black Lives Matter situated at 16th and H Street NW, within walking distance of Farragut West metro and McPherson Square metro. The organization is inviting locals who are in support of the innocents who bore the ruthless atrocities of Modi Regime. It is a high time to get together for a cause that is more demanding today than it was yesterday.
The purpose of #ModiNotWelcome is to denounce the heinous crimes perpetrated against the minorities, be it violence or forced subjugation, minorities are consistently facing the terrors of Modi Regime. Organizers have asked all the people who are against those brutalities to participate in this protest and spread these words on their social media platforms. The ultimate goal is to reveal the truth and let the world know about the sufferings of the marginalized communities, their persecution, displacement, systematic killings and genocide.
Certain contemptible acts of the Modi Regime against the minorities include the “Communal Riot” where Modi-led government supported Gujrat Violence that left nearly 800 Muslims dead. Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) was meant to make it more difficult for minority migrants to get Indian citizenship. National Register of Citizens (NRC) is being used by Modi Regime to reduce underprivileged classes to second class citizens. Similarly, according to a Reuters report, a total of 63 cow vigilante attacks had occurred in India between 2010 and mid 2017, most after Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to power in 2014. Moreover, Surveillance and Profiling of innocent migrants and minorities have hampered the economic and social growth of the subservient Indian masses. They are being stripped of their Indian identity even as they are blamed for not being Indian enough.
