RANDRIDE ebike review – RANDRIDE Hurricane folding commuter electric bike
As a daily commuter, I found myself struggling to find parking at the local station. To solve this problem, I decided to look for an alternative mode of transportation for my 6 miles round-trip commute. I needed an e-bike that could be folded and offered reliable performance. After much research, I purchased the RANDRIDE Hurricane e-bike, which has now passed 500 miles on the odometer. My verdict on the e-bike is that it is affordable, urban, green, and most importantly, fun!

Hardware
The bike comes in a large cardboard box with the RANDRIDE logo on the outside. Upon opening the box, I only had to install the front wheel, front fender, and pedals. The bike was easily assembled by me. The bike is made of aluminum and has high-quality welds and an attractive matte finish. The handlebars are comfortable and have ergonomic grips with wide flat ends to rest your hands while riding. On the left side, you’ll find the brake handle, throttle, power button, and LCD displays.
The LCD displays remaining voltage, battery status level, selected pedal assist level, and speed. You can also view amps, watts, odometer, distance traveled, and more on this display. The bike’s tires are not inflated upon delivery, but everything else is ready to go.
Performance
From a performance standpoint, the RANDRIDE Hurricane provides just the right amount of power to get you up the steepest hills around town. With a 17ah lithium battery and 750 watt hub motor, riders can choose between five levels of assistance, the highest of which has a top speed of 28 miles per hour.
The various levels of pedal assist will give you very responsive performance and a variety of speeds with equal effort. In typical daily commute mode, I set the assist to level three because it helps me reach the 22 mph speed limit on the road. I feel much safer traveling at traffic speeds than letting cars pass me the entire time I’m on my bike. I also wear a RANDRIDE helmet during my commute.
The Hurricane’s folding frame is its biggest advantage. It allows me to put this folding bike in the back trunk of my small car and take it anywhere. Or I can put it in a small window place and stop worrying about having free space in my house. Another benefit of the folding e-bike is that it can be easily folded and unfolded without having to remove the motor or battery.
Affordable Price
The price of the RANDRIDE Hurricane is around $1800, but its performance is far more than its price. I was very impressed with all aspects of the RANDRIDE Hurricane, including its comfort, performance, looks, and price.
