Proxy
Information about Proxy
A proxy is related to IP address, which can help you hide your real IP to view web page online. For some of governments limit citizens to view oversea web page online from domestic IP. That really band cross-border shopping or purchase, or information transfer. Like VPN, proxy allows an internet user to surf internet in an anonymous way, such as login Google, Youtube and Facebook easily. Proxy also can be used in anonymous survey online and other field.
How Does a Proxy Works?
Normally, a user sends a request from a computer for a website that he wants to explore, the server executes this request and sends back the content of a desirable website to the computer. In proxy browsers, instead of a normal server, a special proxy server processes the user request by hiding or changing its IP address which is basically a unique number that is used to identify a computer.
Why Should I Use Proxy?
People use a proxy browser for many reasons. Proxy browsers provide many useful services. Proxy browsers give access to blocked content, and also give access to a website behind the firewalls. It is used to scan the incoming files from an internet to your computer for harmful threats. The proxy browser acts as a middle man between an internet user and the remote site that internet user wants to access. An internet user has more control over the content that his computer needed by using a proxy browser. To prevent certain content types, an internet user can set up filters. The proxy server will block a website if it does not agree with the user’s set criteria.
Different Proxy Protocols
Based on protocols, proxies are categorized into SOCKS proxies, HTTP proxies and HTTPS proxies.
SOCKS Proxy
SOCKS proxy creates transmission control protocol (TCP) connections for an internet user to change the internet traffic. This proxy has more applications because it works on the principle of tunneling through firewalls. Due to this principle, even the proxy server cannot breach the data. SOCKS proxy provides a more advanced security layer for data protection.
HTTP Proxy
HTTP proxy uses the Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP) to make a connection between a user and a remote server. Majority of the proxies on an internet are HTTP based. HTTP proxies can interpret data more easily than SOCKS proxies. Due to this, SSL (Secure Socket Layer) certificate is lost in the process of connection.
HTTPS Proxy
If an additional Secure Socket layer is imposed on HTTP it becomes HTTPS. SLL is very important in data transmission; it provides the security certificate that is used for secure data transmission. HTTPS proxies are more secure than HTTP proxies.
Proxy Services
When you searched for proxy services on an internet, you came up with a list of numerous proxies’ sites. Not all of them are providing equal features, so it is important for a user to know features he wants from a proxy.
Some of the proxies come with a combination of different features. 911 proxy and Yilu proxy is present. 911 proxy and Yilu both are SOCKS5 and residential proxies that make them best among the other proxies in terms of security and data protection.
