With a heritage of actors and musicians going back to Vaudeville, she was destined for the stage. Like any young singer, Rvkah, (given name Rebecca Jean Moritz), would love the success of Madonna or Britney Spears to whom she’s been compared in magazine articles and on TV show interviews. But this VH1 award-winning young artist is not Madonna or Britney Spears. She is Rvkah. Born in Florida and raised in Israel, Rvkah was singing before she could speak. Her first public performance was at age five in front of an audience of over 500 people in a school talent show. Rvkah has been singing and performing ever since.

She recorded her debut album, “Picture Me’, at just 12-years-old, (back when she simply went by “Rebecca”). The album contains five award-winning songs. The title song won first place in the VH1 “Song of the Year” contest in 2005. Two other songs from the album: “Your Love Is Like a Knife” and “Nu” were also awarded as “finalists” among thousands of entries by VH1 judges. In addition, “Let Your Fire Take Me” received the “Director’s Award” from Paramount Group in Nashville, in March 2006. Her song “All Men Are Created Equal” was also honored by the VH1 Song of the Year judges and received Honorable Mention from the “Peacedriven Songwriting Award” committee. In addition, Rvkah has received encouraging letters of commendation from former U.S. President Barack Obama, former U.S. President, George W. Bush; former Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon and many other countries’ ambassadors for her distribution of this wonderful song of peace worldwide. She was also selected as a “Gold Artist” by RadioIndy.com.

RVKAH has been working alongside some prominent songwriters and managers since she stepped onto the scene. Legends like Jan Fairchild and Grammy Award-Winning songwriter and Golden-Globe nominee, Charlie Midnight – who has previously worked with artists such as Christina Aguilera, Barbara Streisand, Hilary Duff, and Britney Spears to name a few.
On her most recent track, “Christmas Love,” RVKAH had the opportunity to work with Charlie Midnight for the first time, as well as with her manager, Multi-Platinum music producer, and songwriter Kevin DeClue. Her relationship with Kevin DeClue has now given her the chance to work on upcoming promotional business ventures that will establish her even further within the music industry.
What’s next?
Pop singer and songwriter, Rvkah, is prepping to shoot two music videos at the end of October in Los Angeles, with a second EP release that is scheduled towards the end of November 2021 – introducing new music just a year after her successful “LOVE EP” debut.
