Mita Noor is a resilient and visionary writer who grew up in Banshal, Old Dhaka. Her childhood and adolescence were shaped by the rich traditions and cultural heritage of authentic Dhaka life. She is the daughter of the late Fazlur Rahman. Having lost her mother at birth, she was deprived of a mother’s affection from the very beginning of her life. Along the journey of life, she also lost the person who had inspired her to write. Yet, she transformed life’s hardships into strength and continued her creative path with determination.
She completed her education in Old Dhaka. Professionally, she is engaged in writing and literary pursuits. She loves to describe herself as a wanderer, as she is constantly in search of new places, new people, and new experiences.
Mita Noor’s published solo poetry collection, On the Bosom of White Pages (Sada Kagojer Buke), has been well received by readers. Her poems have appeared in various literary magazines and periodicals in both Bangladesh and India. The expression of life, love, pain, and human emotions through simple and heartfelt language is one of the defining characteristics of her poetry.
