New developments in Monaco

Monaco is alive with the construction of new developments and new buildings. There has been a strong demand in recent years for apartments in new buildings that have great services. This demand has transpired due to the pandemic and people’s want of not needing to leave their building to use the gym, have a quick meal or even a haircut.

The wonderful Tour Odeon building offers its residents a great number of services. There is a fantastic spa which has a Turkish style hammam, jacuzzi, treatment beds, sauna and heated swimming pool. On-site you have the Gigi hair spa, a renowned coiffure that offers its clients a full range of hair treatments and cuts. The world-famous restaurant group Ciprianis runs a restaurant in the building called the Odéon Café. Other services include a shuttle bus, 24/7 concierge and porter.

The Savills Monaco team have a wide selection of apartments for sale and rental in the new buildings in Monaco. A development that they highly recommend and has drawn a lot of attention from clients in recent months is the Mareterra Land Extension project which is located in the highly sought-after Larvotto district of Monaco. The extension which has been in construction for the last 5 years will bring newly found acreage to Monaco, due to its being built on reclaimed land. The development will include 10 stunning villas, 6 of these being on the water’s edge with their own private road, the first of its kind in Monaco. The development has been built with the environment taking centre stage. 40% of the power in this new development will come from ecologically friendly power supplies, such as photovoltaic solar panels that will line the roof of the apartment building. There will be 110 new apartments for sale or rental in the Mareterra project, some of these apartments will have dramatic sea views. You can imagine yourself waking up with your morning coffee whilst looking out across the Mediterranean Sea. The apartments will also offer great views of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin and the Italian coastline.

Another exciting new development will be the L’Exotique, which takes its name from the district in which it is being built: Jardin Exotique. Here you will find a beautiful construction that has been built with the natural Mediterranean backdrop in mind. The celebrated French architect, Rudy Ricciotti, is incorporating rock and wood elements to make the building feel natural. There are a range of apartments available from studios to a 693 sq m penthouse. The studios start at 60 sq m and are listed from €1,950,000. Recently a 180 sq m 2 bedroom property sold for €8,640,000 hitting an average of €48,000 per sq m. The gardens of the development will be adorned with hanging plants, succulents and palm trees and large glass windows integrate seamlessly with the natural environment creating a complimenting relationship between interior and exterior spaces.
