Muhammad Bilal is a dental technologist and one of Pakistan’s fastest-growing dental content creators, with over 621,000 followers on TikTok. Based between Peshawar and Islamabad, he has built a large audience around dental care, aesthetics, and patient transformations. We sat down with him to talk about his journey, his work, and his advice for others.

Tell us something about yourself, your early life, and your schooling.

I’m from Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. I completed my secondary education in the science group from Al Mustafa Model School in 2017, and from there I knew I wanted to work in the dental field. I went on to earn my Bachelor of Science in dental technology from Iqra National University, which I completed in 2021. Those years gave me a strong foundation in dental sciences, materials, and prosthetics.

What drew you to the dental field specifically?

I was always interested in the technical and aesthetic side of dentistry — how a smile can completely change the way a person feels about themselves. Dental technology lets me work with that directly: the craft behind crowns, prosthetics, and restorations. During my studies and the experience I gained at KMU Institute of Dental Sciences in Kohat and the Maxillofacial Department at Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar, I saw how much confidence good dental work can give people. That stayed with me.

You’ve built a large following online. How did that start?

It started simply — I wanted to share what I was learning and show people the work being done at the clinic. I never expected it to grow the way it has. Today the page has crossed 621,000 followers on TikTok with millions of likes, and there’s a community on Instagram and YouTube as well. People follow because they want to understand dental care better, see real results, and feel less afraid of treatment.

Which platform is your favourite to create on?

Each platform reaches a different kind of audience. TikTok is where short, visual content travels the fastest, so it’s been the biggest driver. Instagram is good for showing detailed before-and-after results, and YouTube lets me go deeper. But if I had to choose, TikTok has been the heart of it.

Do you work alone or with a team?

When I started, I did everything myself — filming, editing, posting. As things grew, the clinic side and the content side both needed proper support, so it’s become more of a team effort. But I’m still very hands-on with the ideas, because I think the content works best when it’s genuine and comes from real cases.

A lot of people assume social media creators earn huge money. What’s your experience?

For me the main goal was never money. It started as a way to share knowledge and show honest results. The income that comes is a byproduct of doing the work well and building trust. If you chase money first, the content feels empty. If you focus on helping people and being real, the rest follows.

Do you think content creation can be a career?

Yes, but it has to be built on something real. For me it’s connected to actual work in the dental field — the audience trusts that. Content creation on its own is a career, but combined with a real profession and real expertise, it becomes something lasting rather than a trend.

Building all this from Peshawar — how difficult was it?

Things are never easy in this part of the world. Resources, equipment, internet — none of it comes simply. But the challenges push you to work harder and be more creative. I’d tell anyone starting from a smaller city that the limitations are real, but they don’t have to stop you.

What’s your advice for young people who spend most of their time on social media?

Use it as a tool, not just entertainment. The same hours people spend scrolling can be spent learning a skill, building a profession, or creating something of their own. Social media gave me a platform — but only because I had real work to put behind it. Build the skill first.

What are your future plans?

To keep growing the clinics in Peshawar and Islamabad, keep improving the quality of work, and keep creating honest content that helps people understand dental care and feel confident about it. I want the brand to be known for trust and results.

What do you do in your free time?

I like spending time with family and friends, staying active, and learning more about new techniques and materials in the dental field. I also enjoy watching how other creators around the world tell their stories.

Your message for your followers?

Thank you for the trust. Keep learning, keep believing in yourself, and don’t be afraid to start small. Take care of your health, your smile, and your goals — you deserve the best of all of them.
