Education Finance Analyst Program Expands; Now Accepting Applications For 2023
Four experienced education foundations are joining forces to train the next generation of mission-driven finance professionals.
New York , Dec. , Sept. 2022 /PRNewswire/ — The second batch of Education Finance Analyst (EFA) participants today officially launched a two-year paid scholarship that offers full-time work and study.

The EFA Program is a collaboration between the Fairs Foundation, Civic Developers, Level Field Partners, and Afton Partners to recruit, train, and hire underrepresented primary care professionals and prepare them for success in the practice of fee-based financial services in academia. : . Accepted participants will be matched with one of the four partner organizations.
“More than ever, the organizations that support and invest in schools need talented young people who can understand the experiences of the communities we serve,” said Anand Kesavan , executive director of the Fair Foundation. “The EFA program is literally the future of our industry. We look forward to creating a channel for future leaders – people who will use finance for social causes in the coming years.”
For over two years, participants have explored the financial and real estate challenges faced by charter public schools, a growing area of ​​social investment that promotes equity in education, especially in economically disadvantaged communities. Each fellowship includes a four-week initial training program designed to promote mission alignment, discipline understanding, technical skill development, and continuing professional development and enrichment.
Upon completion of the fellowship, analysts may apply for additional work or positions with aspiring investors, charter schools, and other organizations dedicated to the use of funds for social causes.
More than 400 applications were received for the EFA Opening Program. Three analysts have worked for the Civic Builders and Equitable Facility Foundation and are currently finalizing their grants.

The Fair Service Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit social impact fund created to provide low-cost, long-term loans to high-performing public charter schools to maximize student resources.
