n the last few years vaping has become increasingly more popular with over a million people currently smoking cigarettes in the United States alone. This rise is largely accredited to its immediate results – you might even call vaping an addiction-prevention drug.
However, too many people are only just starting out or making this change as a result of being unhappy with other habits. This leads to a situation where the user doesn’t really know what they’re doing, for example, poorly filling up the device or not knowing how to use it correctly. This is why it’s important to fully understand what your first device needs and how you can utilize it to get the most out of it. Here are a few key things to remember.
1. When you are filling up the cartridge, make sure that your battery is at a full charge.
2. Make sure to use your device regularly.
3. KEEP THE BATTERY CHARGED AND IN A SAFE POCKET!
4. Don’t be afraid to try different amounts of voltage!
1. When you are filling up the cartridge, make sure that your battery is at a full charge:
One of the most important things to remember when using a Vape Pen is to make sure you are using a fully charged battery. There are a lot of different batteries so make sure you check this before starting your cartridge for the first time. The best way to ensure that your battery is at its full potential is to charge it for at least an hour before use and then give it some time after you’re done, whether or not you’re going to continue doing this throughout the day.
2. Make sure to use your device regularly:
Another critical aspect of using a Vape Pen is to make sure you are using the pen every day and preparing your device for use by learning how to do some tasks on it (such as making a coil).
This is only going to help your battery last longer than having it sitting in the charger all day. Learning the basic care and maintenance of your Vape Pen will also create some variety in the flavors, so you might find yourself using different cartridges at different times for different tastes. It’s also going to help you understand the different tasks you can do yourself.
3. Keep the battery charged and in a safe place:
Not doing so can lead to firing of cartridges in drawers, pockets, or purses when it’s not being used which might result in damaging the battery or hurting someone if they were holding it in their hands at the time.
This is a no-brainer: you want to make sure that you are not endangering yourself or others when using your device. Make sure that when you’re charging the battery, it is in a place that is safe and where it won’t get damaged while plugged in (this includes falling off of tables).
4. Don’t be afraid to try different amounts of voltage:
It’s very possible that you may not like the way a 1.8 volt coil may taste, but you might like a 2.7 just as much if not more! This can lead to a lot less money spent for the same product as well as a lot less waste from cartridges that you don’t like.
Trying out different voltages is a way to be sure that you’re satisfied with the taste of your e-liquid without having to pay for it in more than one cartridge. If you find that a 1.8 volt is too much or too little, then move on to something else!
Here are some common questions about vape cartridges:
What do the different numbers mean?
The first number in the voltage is how much power will be provided by your battery when you’re using it. The second number is a 1 (or sometimes a 0) that means it’s a sub-ohm or low resistance device.
What is the difference between high and low resistance?
The main difference between the two is that one will be providing you with lighter hits and the other can be much more flavorful. High Resistance devices will vaporize more e-liquid while your hit lasts and Low Resistance devices can vaporize less e-liquid while giving you a much bigger hit for every draw. Most high resistance devices are “sub-ohm” which means they’re usually vaping around a .5 or .7 ohm of resistance. This means that it’s going to take less voltage to power the cartridge and it will provide a stronger hit. The “low resistance” is usually .3 ohm or higher and will provide a much more robust hit.
What does the coil do?
The coil, which is also known as the atomizer, is where you’ll load your e-liquid into the Vape Pen. The coil is a piece of circuitry in the cartridge that is used to heat the e-liquid and turn it into vapor. The atomizer will change the resistance of your Vape Pen. Having a higher resistance means that you can use a lower voltage and thus be able to vape with less power draw from your battery to create more vapor and a bigger hit.
