The AI Agent node functions as a dedicated agentic automation layer within an automation workflow, positioned between triggers and actions. Unlike traditional rule-based automation, the AI Agent node can interpret context, reason over incoming data, select the appropriate tools or actions, and dynamically determine the next steps in a workflow using AI-powered workflow automation across connected app integrations such as Google Sheets, Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk, Slack, and Shopify.

The AI Agent node supports natural language automation instructions and can be configured with specific goals, constraints, and behavioral logic. Users can connect the agent to multiple tools and applications, enabling adaptive automation workflows that span CRM integrations, marketing integrations, support integrations, and e-commerce integrations rather than following static, pre-defined rules.
This agentic automation approach enables advanced automation use cases, including:
