Am I My Brother’s Keeper?

Date:

According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, the term stewardship means the careful and responsible management of something entrusted to a caretaker (Merriam-Webster, 2003). We will have to go through life as we go, if we are lucky, a lot is spent in our care. We will be provided with housing, work, health, and any other resources. However, I will insist that no resource is more important than the relationship for which we have been entrusted.

Relationships are gifts

Relationships are given to us for many reasons. Perhaps the most important reason is that we are relatives. We are not naturally lonely. We tell people who choose to be alone and most of us don’t. We grow and thrive through our relationships with others. Perhaps there was an early remark in the creation story, “It is not good for man to be alone” (Genesis 2:18). From that day on, it became clear that we would be in a relationship and that we would be further instructed to love each other (John 15:17).

Conflict

But being involved is not an easy task. After all, we are human.  If one thing is certain, it is that there will be a conflict between us. We will not agree and we will not agree. However, this is where our management becomes most important. How can we navigate this path without sacrificing resources? How can we handle our responsibilities carefully?

Conflict resolution

Conflict should be resolved. This is where Stewart’s real test becomes very clear. We need to find solutions that resolve inevitable conflicts and work on conditions that are acceptable to all involved. Furthermore, there should be ways to resolve disputes without destroying resources. Unfortunately, this does not come naturally. So we need to read, study, and perfect the tools commonly known as conflict resolution. This is not a choice but the very nature of us being co-residents. The Bible says this most clearly if a person says I love God but still has brothers, that person is a liar. (1 John 4:20).

After his lie, Cain further answered God with this sarcastic statement: “Am I my brother’s keeper?” By saying this, Cain was essentially saying he was not responsible for his brother’s well-being. This shows a calloused lack of love and concern on Cain’s part. This was a result of his hatred and anger. Human history has been marked by this core attitude of a lack of concern for the care and well-being of others

Found there

Fortunately, we are not ready for this task. We know that an environment characterized by conflict is one of poor management. Furthermore, we are warned that where there is jealousy and strife, there is confusion and all manner of evil deeds (James 3:16). This is not where most of us want to be. Therefore, it is clear that a part of our management must consider the choice of environment.

However, good management is not just a good environment. Good management starts with people. We must seek and attain a higher state of being human. Humanity is in which we practice the qualities of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and faith (Galatians 5:22). We are in a good management position when we do this.

Am I my brother’s keeper?

I will submit that being a good steward of a relative’s wealth is the protector of our brother. If we were good managers, we would talk about what makes a good manager. Yes, we are the guardians of our brother.

Why did Kane kill his brother? Because his actions were evil, not because of what Abel did, but because he thought Abel did something wrong. She received the cause of her so-called sadness from her brother, Lord. And why did he kill him? For his work was evil, and his brother was righteous. jar.” Usually, this is our reaction: we get angry at others because God is a blessing and accepting them but what could be the reason why God is not accepting our sacrifice instead of looking at ourselves.

We have to ask ourselves, Am I my brother’s keeper? The Bible Tells Us Who Are Our Brothers and Sisters In The Lord One day, while Jesus was preaching to the people, his mother and brothers came to see him, but the crowd was too large to enter. Yes, someone said to Jesus, “Your mother and brothers are at the door. And wanting to see you, Jesus replied, Who is my mother, who is my brother, and who does the will of my Father?

We are born on this earth, we have a natural family, and then when we are born again of water and spirit, when we are born again according to Saint John 3:5-7 Jesus replied: Indeed, I tell you. Almost, unless a man is born of water and spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. What is born of the flesh is the flesh; And what is born from the soul is the soul. No matter what I told you, you must be born again, we are part of a divine family.
