In addition to my former blog article about stamps and airmail labels, this is another journal about the same topic, but this time it’s about envelopes (I’ve already featured this tape because I like it so much) and mail marking. Here, three different MT washi tapes are used: 3mm (0.12 inches) slim tape, envelope, and marking.
In all honesty, even though the 3mm skinny tape has previously been featured in this blog piece, I find that handling it can be challenging due to its small width. I would choose 6mm skinny tape. Anyway, since I bought it, I should just give it another shot, right? Actually, there are two since they are marketed in pairs.
Have you ever purchased anything like clothing that you intended to wear one day but never did? Have you ever bought a scrapbooking kit or two with the intention of creating a beautiful family heirloom only to never get around to it?
I’m not sure about you… However, I experience it most frequently. So now, if I want to obtain anything or intend to buy something, I mentally make a note to find a use for it! In this instance, washi tape would be used to make a greeting card if I had more time. When time is of the essence, I simply pull out my preferred patterned tape and adhere it to my diary as shown in the illustration.
The focus of mt ex envelope is the variety of envelopes. Some are well-known and simple to identify. These small envelopes appear so authentic, it astounded me! As you can see in the notebook, I cut out each image independently and used it as a sticker, along with the washi tape for marking.
Just what is marking? Has the “Fragile” tag been applied? The official stamp on the envelope is a concern. Yes, everything has to do with mail. The marking washi tape itself has 16 different images! There is plenty to use and share with your friends because the length is 10m (33 ft).
Every time I watch a deco video about an envelope, a stamp, or other mailing-related item, it brings back memories of the time when I used to get actual letters from pen pals. Similar to the white envelope shown in the third image up above, we all used plain, everyday envelopes. Not much fanfare.
The letters that are contained in the envelopes, however, are what matter most. Typically, we wrote longer pieces; occasionally, the envelope had three to five pages or more. So, the envelope is quite substantial. It makes me so happy to get these letters.
I’m not sure if individuals still communicate privately using this antiquated approach (not business letters). These days, using a phone or the internet to contact someone is considerably faster and more practical.
Sending texts online is undoubtedly environmentally friendly. But if you occasionally mail a friend or member of your family a real letter or two (maybe with your most recent news, words of inspiration, or support), I’m certain it will brighten their day considerably!
How are you doing? Do you still get actual letters in the mail? If so, consider yourself fortunate because someone took the time to write you a letter rather than just a card!
Birthday Card with Gold Washi Tape
Would you like to make a birthday card using gold washi tape? Or would you rather be the recipient of one? What if you don’t have white cardstock, though? I’m not sure why, despite like pink and blue as was previously mentioned, I’ve been finding the colour gold to be really alluring lately. Perhaps obtaining actual gold is currently thought to be impossible. However, I dare not to wear them even if I have real ones, like gold jewellery.
Fortunately, there are still alternatives available, such as gold washi tape. If you’re looking for something opulent, sparkly, and spectacular, use it to improve the appearance of your projects. There’s no need to stress if you don’t have cardstock or patterned paper in gold.
For this straightforward birthday card, I used two different kinds of gold washi tape. Gold glitter tape is the first one. The adhesive isn’t all that strong. When you commit, that’s it. While I was attempting to reposition the washi tape, it began to take up fibre from the card.
The gold washi tape with polka dots is part of the mt product line. Because we only paid attention to the picture in the catalogue and didn’t think the product was that great, we almost missed it. Due to a customer’s recommendation, we finally received this one.
I’m delighted we did. In person, the gold polka dot washi tape is considerably more elegant and superior. The colour is less vibrant and the dots are smaller than those on the gold glitter tape. It works great for a formal event like a wedding.
