A Bangladeshi-born American citizen and distinguished literary figure has earned international recognition through his long-standing contributions to poetry, essays, short stories, and travel writing. He was born into a respected Muslim family in Kaliajury village of Cumilla District, Bangladesh. He is the second among seven siblings. His late father was Harunur Rashid, and his mother is Ayesha Begum.

He obtained a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Chittagong. He currently resides with his family in Hudson, New York, USA. Professionally, he serves as a Senior Auditor at a major plastic manufacturing corporation in the United States. In addition to his professional career, he is actively involved in scientific and research-related activities.

He is the author of eight published books in both Bengali and English. His works have received appreciation from readers across the world, and it is reported that some of his books have been included in the collections of libraries in the United States.

He has been selected twice as a member of an international jury commission. He also serves as the Honorary Vice President of a labor organization representing seven Southeast Asian countries.

In recognition of his literary contributions, he received a Literary Academy Certificate from Odisha, India. In 2022, he was honored with the Yasir Arafat Peace Award from Palestine. In the same year, his work was included in the World Book of Anthology, featuring selected writings by 200 poets from around the world.

He was also presented with the International Award of Hope 2022 by Tony Radio and TV, broadcast from the United States and Canada, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to literature. In Bangladesh, the Buriganga Foundation honored him with the Peace and Humanity Thought Literature Diploma.

Furthermore, he received the Culture and Humanity International Certificate from Romania and a certificate from the Odyssey International Anthology of World Poets. He has also been honored with a literary award from Kazakhstan, a grant certificate from South Africa, and the title of World International Ambassador of Peace. Several of his songs have been translated into Russian. Most recently, he received recognition in an international literary competition held in Colombia.

Among his notable achievements is the recognition he reportedly received in 2024, when the then President of the United States, Joe Biden, sent him a signed letter of congratulations in appreciation of his literary and creative contributions. This accomplishment is regarded by many as a matter of pride for Bangladeshi-born writers.
