Reason for higher exam takers this year in CAT 2021

Many students and their families were going through bad health conditions, and others were unable to attend the exam due to travel restrictions. Many people opted out of the exam due to these problems.

This year the number of exam takers in the CAT exam is expected to be much higher due to the following reasons-

  • Currently, there are no travel restrictions in the country, allowing convenient admittance to the examination.
  • Compared to last year, the fear of Covid-19 is less potent, and candidates are in a better space to sit for the exam.
  • People who withdrew their names in 2019 due to covid will sit in the upcoming exam with fresh candidates.
  • To compensate for the previous year’s loss, the number of seats this year is more than the last.
  • The process of online registration allows numerous candidates to sign up for the application form.
