It was a rainy day. I was thoroughly wet and wanted to hurry home from the office. Unfortunately, I didn’t book a ride. One of my hands had the office bag and my left hand had the key to unlock the main door of my apartment. I unlocked it and opened the main entrance. The first thing I saw was the gift on the dining table in the living room.

I removed the plastic and opened the casing of it. There was a well known Smartphone named infinix hot 30 play, a charger with a plug, and a bluetooth headphone. I was happy to see all this. My eyes poured with tears. One of them fell on the box and another on the floor.
The other thing I noticed was a sim card, there was no warranty card. I totally understand his financial position. He was doing a part-time job along with his full-time degree in business. I called him after installing the sim.
I thanked him for the present. “ You’re welcome Daddy”. “God bless you, my cute baby”. He hung up. Now was the process of unpacking my phone and following the unlocking procedure.
Signing up for My Google Account
I opened the Google Play app and signed in to my account with the password. Then it opened used mobile phones for sale and I installed many apps. At the same time, I also used the Google app to transfer my backup files to my old phone.
It was a very easy and hassle-free process. All my contacts, videos, and even messages were also transferred. I watched a video the day before. There was no need to take the Smartphone to another shop or to the technician. At the same time, there was no need to use any app or data cable.
The only thing I did before everything was to back my messages in WhatsApp. Rest assured. It was a very systemic process altogether.
Setting up the Google Maps
The second step was to set up and download my Google Maps, which I need most of my time to navigate between the office and the clients’ locations. It was a quite handy app. It took around ten minutes to download the latest version of Google Maps, along with the city map.
I stay most of the time outdoors in office meetings, so I cannot walk back and forth in search of the exact location. After parking my car. It’s just a waste of time for me and my company’s clients.
Securing my Smartphone
Nowadays there is an option for someone to use a Smartphone on long routes of the metro trips. So it had a fingerprint sensor. That I used my thumb to lock it. I don’t prefer the number password or the design password. That is very easy to unlock these days.
I often get tired after coming from meetings and fall asleep on the way. In this way, my smartphone will be secure and sound.
Google Find My Device
It is again a handy and very easy-to-use app from Google. It can be set up using my Google account. Even if I lose my phone. I can locate it from other devices like laptops, desktops. I remember one of my colleagues forgot the phone in the Starbucks cafe. She was able to locate it using this app, from her office laptop. Bingo!
Conclusion
Although I met with my son George on that year’s Christmas Eve. We exchanged gifts and presents. We even had a turkey party together at home. That rainy day will be a memorable and unforgettable day. I wasn’t expecting it from my son.
When my wife also came in from her job, we also celebrated her birthday party. I took snaps from my phone.
