Mexico is becoming an increasingly popular vacation destination every year. Tourists are mostly attracted by its inexpensive but beautiful resorts, rich culture, and delicious cuisine.
According to a recent report by Pander, there are three main destinations where tourists are most actively booking accommodation. These resorts are expected to become the most fashionable in the country in 2025.
Merida
The most populous city on the Yucatan Peninsula, where antiquity and modernity coexist, leaves an incredible impression on tourists. Merida is conveniently located for access to the Caribbean coast and Mayan ruins, so a lazy beach vacation can easily be combined with exploring one of the most mysterious ancient tribes.
Merida is home to the oldest cathedral in North and South America, San Ildefonso, which took almost four decades to build and was completed in 1598. The city is also known as the “white city” due to its distinctive architecture.
Tulum
Those who want to see the Mayan ruins but also relax in the jungle can safely book a trip to Tulum. It is considered one of the most fashionable resorts in the country, where you can enjoy the sea, white sand beaches, ruins of buildings on high cliffs, and the exotic fauna of the region.
Isla Mujeres
This fabulous place is known for its turtle farm, cultural park, ruins, the former Mayan lighthouse and the temple of Ixchel, as well as the estate of the Caribbean pirate Fermin Mundaca. The island has modern hotels and restaurants, numerous souvenir shops, and the clear sea is ideal for diving and other water sports.
