Today we will listen to the stories of women entrepreneurs from Naima Zaman Banya’s mouth
Life’s story from life.. I was a college student then, every girl has a story of becoming self-reliant, and from that story, the dream of walking the path began..
And that started when suddenly one day I noticed an advertisement in the paper…
I noticed that BC was providing education on technical work in various hands.. I also wanted to get admitted there.. The idea was the work.
While studying in college, I got admitted to BSCIC Nagar Motijheel… Then after taking technical education in hand, I got admitted to the second chapter, then to complete the fashion designer course at the Belliroad Mahila Sangstha, from there my journey started.. I already knew how to sew.. I received training from the Mahila Sangstha.
After doing well in everything, I started my family’s initiative and business with my own experience. Since then, my journey has been from round tables to showrooms and various places and from Bangladesh Bank to offering my products. After the good work experience, I received the first best award at the BSCIC Fair for fashion designers and for participating in the BSCIC Fair.
However, this journey of mine would not have been so easy if I had not had them by my side.
I feel proud to have a family like my mother and sister. They have been by my side from every point of view, from financial to service support. Then I opened a showroom in Cox’s Bazar, Ilma Boutiques, and then I did not stop there. I have held fairs in many places outside the country. Now I have started working on online platforms.
My products are known in many places in the country and abroad.
I have a page, Ilma Boutiques. I gained more success and recognition through that page. I first gained experience in making cloth masks on the online platform. Alhamdulillah I gained more recognition.
Due to work, I got acquainted with Bangladesh Bank Governor Atiqur Rahman Sir. Since then, I got another opportunity to work with women entrepreneurs.
Sir, I have a lot of experience working with women entrepreneurs at the Bangladesh Bank. And from that experience, I was fortunate to do a lot of work through Sir. And starting from Bangladesh Bank to various banks, the dresses I designed are in demand. And I have also had the opportunity to come to the online platform and give it abroad. Besides, I have participated in international exhibition fairs both in the country and abroad. Currently, I am working with social work, women entrepreneurs, and old age homes and street children. I have a small team. My team members and I are responsible for 40 children and are taking care of them in the madrasa, while also providing them with an opportunity to study. I have a platform that works with current senior citizens.
