The Rise in Use of Sprouted Almonds

As we spend more time at home, nuts have become the latest items flying off the shelves for those looking to not put on pounds during this pandemic.

Sprouted Almonds today announced they are selling online including favorites such as Coconut German Chocolate Sprouted Almonds, Himalayan Salted Gourmet Sprouted Almonds, and more.

Founded by Rey and his wife Bobby Longhurst in 2004 due to health issues suffered by Bobby. One of the foods the hospital fed her which improved her condition was Sprouted Almonds.

After months of research and product development, Rey concluded that this was something the whole world needed to know about. Sprouted Almonds, LLC was born and Rey and Bobby rebranded the company in 2017 under the name Longhurst Farms.

They also added additional sprouted products besides almonds. In 2019 they opened the Nut Factory Retail Store to share their sprouting secrets with the local community in Sheridan, Wyoming, and surrounding areas.

The Sprouting process removes enzyme inhibitors you need to digest your food allowing quicker and more complete digestion and assimilation of nutrients.

According to their website, they invented the Sprouted Superfood category in 2004 and offer free shipping to regular customers in all 50 USA States.

You can also find their products distributed directly to Specialty & Health Food Stores across the country.

” Our mission is to provide our customers with high-quality nutritional Sprouted Gourmet Superfood products,” beams Rey Longhurst

More people are calling almonds their favorite nut-and they are putting their almonds where their mouths are. Over the past six years, American almond consumption has increased by 11 percent per year.

From roasted and seasoned almonds in creative, portable packaging to almond granola bars, energy bars, and breakfast bars to entrees and vegetable dishes, almonds are found in a variety of new food products.

One reason for their popularity may be their health benefits. Studies have shown that almonds as part of a balanced eating plan can lower LDL, or “bad,” cholesterol and can help promote a healthy weight. In addition, almonds are packed with antioxidant vitamin E, magnesium, protein, and fiber. They also contain calcium. So, it’s no coincidence almonds have become a favorite ingredient and the healthy snack of choice.

Almond is a highly nutritious, effective health-building food both for the body and mind and a valuable food remedy for common ailments. The thin-skinned among the sweet variety is best for use. It is one of the best nut and seed foods. The best way to consume almonds is eating them without the skin.

Almond milk is a very common preparation from almond. Grind blanched almonds to a smooth paste; add sugar and cold boiled water — giving it the consistency of milk for a nutritious, healthy drink rich in vitamins. It is easily digestible than cows milk making it an ideal wholesome drink for children. Almond butter is another variation prepared from almonds, beneficial for older people who don’t get enough proteins in their diets. Besides the intake of high-calorie protein, other ingredients contained in almonds are easily digestible.
