The Most Expensive Lego Minifigures of All Time

It is estimated that more than four billion LEGO Minifigures have been created since the first one was released in 1978. To put things in perspective, if all LEGO minifigs resided in one nation, let’s name it “LEGOLAND.” Today, we’ll take a look at the top 10 rarest LEGO Minifigures of all time, since there are so many to choose from.

In order to compile this list, I looked for the rarest and most difficult-to-find minifigs, not necessarily the most expensive. The value of a collectible might fluctuate over time, particularly if a formerly uncommon figure is included into a more common collection. For this list, I’m only looking for one-of-a-kind, one-of-a-kind figurines that have been sought after ever since they were manufactured. There is an extra rule: no LEGO employee exclusives, prototypes or anything that never had a fair opportunity to be acquired by the general public and/or non-LEGO workers are allowed. Here, without further ado, are the most sought-after LEGO minifigures ever:

R2-D2 in solid 18-karat white gold

This one-of-a-kind Solid 18k White Gold R2-D2 was made available to LEGO VIPs who purchased the Ultimate Collectors Series Millennium Falcon early in 2017 using their LEGO VIP card. A certificate of authenticity and a gorgeous display accompany him. To our knowledge, this is the first LEGO set that has ever been made accessible to the general public. We have also covered a list of most hard-to-find and rare LEGO minifigs for you, you can see it by visiting our website.

The Boba Fett Trio at the San Diego Comic-Con

A framed LEGO Star Wars giveaway, with three Boba Fett Minifigures, was given out to two fortunate guests at the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con. 1/10,000 white Boba Fett, 1 of 2 14K gold Boba Fett, and a 1 of 2 sterling silver Boba Fett were the most uncommon of the three. It’s like a one-of-a-kind item!

C-3PO in 14k Gold

Some of LEGO’s best promos were part of a range of kits commemorating the 30th anniversary of “Star Wars.” With a manufacturing run of just five, this 14K gold C-3PO will never leave its place as one of the Top Ten collectibles.

Currently, there’s one on eBay for $1.2 million, if you’re interested…

Toy Fair 2012 Captain America and Iron Man.

125 of these figurines were built, making them the first official LEGO Marvel Minifigs ever (excluding the early 2000s Spider-Man sets with Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man. Finding one of these two figurines on its alone at the 2012 Toy Fair is almost impossible. Even $1,200 would be a bargain for these stats, which are hard to come by.
