The British Royal Family Education Background
There has been a progression in the education of the British Royal family, from the education of constitutional history, aristocracy and role of the monarch to formal education. In the past, members of the royal family used to be educated at home with private tutors; therefore, most did not attend University. In this new era, members of the royal family have embraced modern education.
Some of the well-known royals who have managed to attain a degree include;
Prince Charles
Charles Philip Arthur George, born on 14th November 1948, is the Prince of Wales and the eldest hild of Queen Elizabeth II.Â
Between the ages of five and eight, Prince Charles was privately tutored at home, after which the Buckingham Palace announced that the Prince had to attend school, which made him the first heir of the royals to go through school. Prince Charles first attended the Hill House School in 1956.
He then attended Gordonstoun and Cheam schools, then went to the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Australia. The Prince holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, which he attained from the University of Cambridge. He studied history, anthropology, and archaeology at Trinity College in Cambridge. He also went to University College of Wales, where he studied Welsh History and language.

Prince William
Born on 21st June 1982, William Arthur Philip Windsor is the Duke of Cambridge and the eldest child of Prince Charles of Wales.
He started his education at Jane Mynor’s nursery school and Wetherby preparatory school. He then proceeded to Ludgrove School in Berkshire. After passing the entrance exams, he attended Eton College, where he went on to study History, Biology, and Geography.
