Team Eyeweb has just wrapped up a successful 1000-mile walking challenge in support of Hull Animal Welfare Trust, surpassing our goal and walking almost 1100 miles throughout October. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we raised over £1000 for this incredible cause.
The funds raised will go directly to Hull Animal Welfare Trust, a charity based in South Cave dedicated to rehabilitating, supporting, and rehoming abandoned and mistreated animals. The charity relies entirely on public donations to continue its vital work.
Natalie Rhodes from Hull Animal Welfare Trust shared her gratitude: “We truly appreciate the Eyeweb team for taking on this fundraiser to help the animals in our care. Times are tough right now, and we cannot thank them enough for their support.”
Since 1982, Hull Animal Welfare Trust has rehomed over 30,000 pets. As operational costs rise, fundraisers like Walkies for Welfare are essential for the charity’s survival and continued success.
“We’re absolutely thrilled with the outcome of Walkies for Welfare and want to extend our thanks to everyone who donated,” said Paul Scott, Managing Director of Eyeweb. “It’s been such a rewarding experience, and we hope our contribution helps the Trust continue its fantastic work.”
To cap off the charity event, local business Peach Hampers generously donated a £68 gift hamper to one lucky donor. The winner, Hessle-based hairdresser Andrew Nixon, was delighted to receive the prize.
