1. Pangong Lake
Set at an elevation of 13,862 Ft above sea level, Pangong Tso lake is one of the major attractions in Ladakh. The highest saltwater lake in the world, Pangong Tso is famous for changing colors from blue to green to red. Surrounded by breathtaking mountains, the crystal clear water, and migrating birds attract many travelers to the lake.
The lake is approx 223 Km far away or 6 hours drive from Leh district.
As the region is very harsh and the lake will be frosted during the winter season, the best time to visit Pangong lake is from May to September.
2. Khardung La Pass
Getaway to Shyok and Nubra Valley, Khardung La Pass is famous as the world’s highest motor-able pass, situated at an elevation of 18,379 Ft. Set in the Karakoram range in North Leh, Khardung La is a 39 Km ride from Leh. 3. Nubra Valley

4. Thiksey Monastery

Known as the Largest Monastery of Ladakh, Thiksey is in the Indus Valley located 19 Km away from Leh district. 5. Hemis National Park
Spread over 4400 ( Km)2, Hemis national park is the largest national park in India. The high altitude (ranging between 8500 – 17000 Ft) park is set on the west banks of Indus almost 50 Km from Leh. Hemis national park is named after the famous Hemis monastery.
The park boasts natural charm, amazing vegetation, and wildlife all around the year.
Known for its snow leopards, the park has 16 mammal species and 73 bird species. 6. Tso Moriri Lake
Perched at an altitude of 14,836 Ft, Tso Moriri is a protected lake in the Changthang region of Ladakh. The lake is approx 220 Km far away or 5 hours drive from Leh district. Renowned as Mountain Lake, Tso Moriri Lake is one of the most picturesque, calm, and serene lakes offering scenic splendor of surroundings.
