The company’s director and CEO, Sahil Juneja, spoke to us about his life’s journey and how chai kaapi became the sensation of the town.

His Early Life and Education

His attention has always been on business.

When he was in school, he used to sell wrestling cards to his friends. When he was a teenager, he used to lease out his bicycle to his friends to help pay for his daily expenses.

He struggled with his college grades. Being a backbencher, he was not appreciated much. Even the faculties used to tell him that he wont do good in his life if he does not score good grades. By now he started buying and selling second hand mobile phones that was gaining popularity in the late 2010s.

Due to unfortunate circumstances, his father was forced to sell away his power looms, leaving him with almost no choice but to turn to farming.

They did go through a difficult period, but His Chachas supported them in ways that no one could have anticipated.
They have always considered them to be their children.

Sahil first discovered ethical hacking in college, after which he started exploring into online income opportunities.
He made the decision to support his family, and after six months of nonstop work and several weeks of sleepless nights on a broken chair, he started to make money through SEO and Google AdWords.
He told us that He used to do everything manually because He didn’t have the money to invest or to hire someone to do the job.

Starting of the operations of the brand Chai Kaapi

We started with 4 outlets at once in Indore. I still remember the outlets were under construction and our launch date was in May 1st week. It was my birthday on 29th April and I got a surprise the time I walked into our office. Suyash rushed and made sure that the first outlet of chai kaapi is operational.

We started our sales on 29th April 2016. It was our corporate canteen in Satguru Parinay Indore of which we gave the handover to Our Office Boy after covid.

Santosh Patil, is now a proud franchisee owner of Chai Kaapi Lite! Our wing for the places where Chai Kaapi is too big of a fish to swim.

About the USPs of the brand, he told us that “We used to provide free internet to our customers when 1 Gb data was of 250rs. We were doing exceptionally well from day 1. Our customers started calling our outlets as their dusraghar.”

How are things going?

“Chai Kaapi was now developing as we had anticipated.
Surya Pratap Singh, another member of the core team, was added.
Even better, Surya has a Chai Kaapi location all to himself in Indore’s UNO Business Park.

We were always changing.
On every piece of client input, we took action.
Decathlon personnel requested us to locate a container on their property because they thought our methods and procedures were so effective.
We were now Indore’s first container café.
People began going to the Chai Kaapi Decathlon exclusively to take selfies because the idea was so well-liked.

Our team then asked him about his plans to which he said that nowadays he is helping budding entrepreneurs overcome the hurdles that he faced himself. He told us that after covid he started multiple international eCommerce stores and is doing SEO for clients out of passion.
