Runescape 3 has an unexpected change to the skill Chompy Birds. Every single Chompy Bird in the game now has a combat level of 65 534. While this might be useful for completing daily combat challenges, it is most likely a bug that will be fixed soon. In the meantime, feel free to attack one and see what happens.
On April 27th, players can claim 15 Treasure Hunter keys, RuneCoins, RS GP, and 5 Knowledge Bombs by logging into the website and claiming a key. After activating the key on the Runescape website, players will receive their rewards, which include a Battle-Worn Steel Unicorn pet. Unfortunately, the powerful PvM promotion that was running at the time of this news post has ended.
Jagex has made several updates to Combat and Slayer. The instant kill bar from the tier 3 Guard House will no longer work on the King Black Dragon, and the common experience for Risen Ghosts has been reduced by about 50%. This change was made to bring their experience more in line with the intended rate of experience per hour. Additionally, the chance of players receiving special Raptor assignments has been doubled to 1 in 50, and zombies now have a different appearance to differentiate them from regular zombies.
In terms of player customization, Jagex is currently working on an option to customize the particle color of the Comp Cape. While this feature is only being worked on during game jam and may never see the light of day, it is a cool example of how capes could look with recolored particles. It’s worth noting that Jagex may add new requirements for these particles if they are implemented.
Finally, players can expect a roadmap for upcoming content to be released before the end of this month. We don’t know exactly what the roadmap will include, but we’re excited to see what new adventures await us in Gielinor.
