Durango, Colorado is one of the most up-and-coming towns in the Centennial State. With the close access to the Animas River, the incredible mountain biking trails, and the Silverton-Durango train, this is one spot that has so much to offer for tourists from all over the world.
While many people from around the world visit this quaint little mountain town to enjoy outdoor recreation, one of the most underrated and overlooked parts of Durango is the amazing selection of restaurants. The Durango restaurants are a staple to the wonderful mountain town and are all unique in their own way. While there are too many great options to list in one article, we would like to highlight four of our favorite spots to dine in Durango, Colorado.
11th Street Station
11th Street Station is one of our top choices for dining in Durango due to the unique outdoor location and the great selection of food trucks to choose from. While the establishment offers pizza from “The Box”, they have a rotating selection of food trucks – giving patrons a wide selection of food to enjoy. To top that off, they often host live music up to 5 times a week so there is always something going on for everyone. For your next time going out on the town in Durango, consider going to 11th street station for some food, custom cocktails, and live music. The location has a whole style that reflects the history of the corner, which was a long-time gas station that serviced many large tanker trucks and cars from all around the southwest.

Steamworks Brewing Company
If there is one restaurant in Durango that just “got things right” then Steamworks Brewing Company is that place. It is one of the liveliest dining options in the whole town and seems to always be packed on each evening – but for good reason. Their food options are all delicious and they offer a large, diverse menu that includes burgers, sandwiches, Cajun boil, steak, and Mexican American eats. If you get the opportunity to visit this wonderful establishment, make sure you try their infamous “Cajun fries” along with a Third-Eye IPA from the bar.
Many more dining options in Durango, Colorado
We wanted to take the time to highlight just a few of our favorite options in this beautiful mountain town but there are so many more great restaurants in the area. We recommend coming to the southwest and trying all that Durango, Colorado has to offer when it comes to dining.
