Reasons to Use PEPPOL

PEPPOL stands for pan-European public procurement online. PEPPOL enables businesses across Europe to send transactional data to their business partners over the PEPPOL network. PEPPOL is owned and maintained by the Open PEPPOL, a nonprofit international association established under Belgian law consisting of both public and private sector members. So, with the PEPPOL, you are allowed to exchange standards-based electronic documents over the PEPPOL network. PEPPOL is mostly used for the E-Procurement by the public authorities in the EU.

What is PEPPOL?

PEPPOL is a common type of framework for the secure cross-border exchange of electronic business documents. This framework’s original purpose in 2002 was to make trade easier between the European government. Nowadays, it has evolved far beyond the original intention, with the overall objective now being to use the simple and safe document exchange between the public and private entities worldwide.

PEPPOL is not any platform for document exchange. Still, PEPPOL is a network that connects many of the existing platforms which are already used by businesses and public administrations. It is considered an IT infrastructure that makes it possible to connect and send messages to some of the other systems connected to the network. Now the 31 countries of Europe are using PEPPOL, including Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, and the United States, use PEPPOL.

Why use The PEPPOL Network?

Most of the businesses are asking for e-invoices through the PEPPOL network is strongly increasing. Mainly the reason is the network is extremely safe, much safer than sending invoices by mail. As mentioned before, the PEPPOL network provides the users with a unique ID that can be easily used as the point of the recognition, resulting in an automatic recognition process in every transaction.

As PEPPOL is highly recommended for safety, so the government is also increasingly asking for e-invoices. Most the European is now obligated to send the e-invoices to their national government,

Connect with One Access All:

By using the PEPPOL network, you can access any member in the PEPPOL through one single source. Whether Public B2G, regardless of the country or industry, your business opportunities grow exponentially from the very first moment. It is one of the best networks that anyone can use.

Invoices and More:

people are well known for supporting E-invoicing projects, but there is more to be gained. Some other documents, just like purchase orders, credit notes, and catalogs, can also be easily exchanged by the network. By using this network, you can easily pitch and catch the ball. Documents can easily follow in both directions and between different trading partners customers of suppliers via the same source.

Avoid Costly Roaming Fees:

When the business operators exchange the electronic invoices, many other parties are involved in the process. There are a sender and the recipient, of course, but there are maybe several intermediates involved. These intermediate typically charge the fees for their transport services.

It is a bit like the costly roaming charger that you sometimes have to pay when making the calls or to exchange data by your phone in the places where your usual telecoms network does not provide the coverage, and you need to use other networks instead. But the people networks run on a different principle. In this, the sender and the recipient have only to pay the price they have agreed with their respective network providers. It means that there are no extra roaming fees in this network, which is one of the big reasons for using PEPPOL.

When you notice, then you see that the electronic invoices are usually delivered to the recipient just a few seconds after they are sent, in contrast to paper invoices, which can take some days to arrive. Using PEPPOL makes it possible to reduce the waiting time for payment. It is also one of the big reasons for using the PEPPOL.
