Punkvism (PUNKVISM), which is currently running global NFT and RWA projects such as Punky Kongz, announced on the 8th that it has laid the groundwork for commercializing PunkPay, its proprietary payment service, for beauty salons across South Korea.
Electronic payment terminal provider OSCOM has finalized a supply agreement with the Korea Beauticians Association to equip member salons with advanced payment devices. Building on this momentum, OSCOM last month entered into a strategic business agreement with Punkvism, committing to jointly expanding the merchant network for PunkPay and accelerating the adoption of blockchain-based payment solutions in the beauty sector.
With this deal, PunkPay’s blockchain-based payment division will now be able to integrate its service into approximately 110,000 beauty salon affiliates under the Korea Beauticians Association nationwide.
Punkvism will enter a strategic partnership with the Beauticians Association to deliver differentiated services across the beauty industry. The initiative aims to remove payment barriers for overseas customers experiencing K-beauty culture, while ensuring a seamless, convenient payment experience for both domestic and international clients.
PunkPay has already signed contracts with around 7,000 merchants, including franchises and small local businesses across sectors such as cafés, restaurants, convenience stores, and beauty salons. Once the 110,000-beauty-salon payment network is established, users will enjoy broader and more practical payment benefits nationwide.
PunkPay, in partnership with OSCOM, merges a proven stable payment network with advanced blockchain technology to deliver secure, rapid transactions for merchants and customers alike—reducing fees, streamlining operations, and elevating the overall payment experience.
Hyun-ki Hwang, CEO of Punkvism, stated, “This infrastructure expansion marks an important starting point for bringing Web3 payments into the real economy through everyday industries. Moving forward, we will continue to enhance our differentiated services and global payment convenience.”
