Power Mech Wins Contract From Adani Power:
Power Mech Projects Limited has recently announced an INR 294 crore order from Adani Power. This announcement was made on 1st January 2025. The company has acquired the turnkey contract comprising overall services and condition assessment including erection, testing, commissioning, and manpower support for steam turbine generator and steam generated in the 2×660 MW Korba Phase II thermal power plant. The Unit 3 work for the Adani Chhattisgarh power plant will have to be completed within 12 months. Unit 4 needs to be completed in 18 months. This order value is GST-free. However, Power Mech will acquire an additional INR 1.25 crore per unit if it manages to achieve the synchronisation within the stipulated period.
Other Projects Acquired By Power Mech:
In November 2024, Power Mech got another major order worth INR 510 crore from Adani Power. This contract was for the mechanical construction work at its Adani Chhattisgarh thermal power project. This project is scheduled to be completed in 34 months. In August 2024, Power Mech bagged 5 FGD projects. These projects are valued at INR 6,163.2 crore. The FGD project retrofits include coal-based units ranging from 330 MW to 660 MW. These projects span across Tiroda, Mundra, Udupi, and Kawai plants. The FGD units will have 92% sulphur dioxide recovery. This will help our country in meeting its emission reduction commitments at COP26.
