Private players like Niira Radia’s Nayati Healthcare are all set to beat the Covid-19 pandemic
As the country faces an unprecedented challenge in the form of Covid-19 pandemic, the public healthcare system is working tirelessly in a bid to ensure the best care for the infected people. However, as the number of Covid-19 cases continue to grow, private medical care providers like Niira Radia led Nayati Healthcare have become increasingly active in the fight against Covid-19.
A large number of leading healthcare providers have come up with their response plans amid the rapidly spreading coronavirus. The Chairperson of Nayati Healthcare, Niira Radia, emphasized upon the responsibility shared by the public as well as the private players in the Indian healthcare sector, saying that both share an equal amount of responsibility.
“Considering the steep rise in the number of Covid-19 cases in the country and Uttar Pradesh contributing substantially to those numbers, we, at Nayati, are fully geared for the treatment of coronavirus patients at our facilities — Nayati Medicity Mathura and Nayati Hospital Agra,” Niira Radia said.
As the largest tertiary and quaternary medical care provider in the Braj region, Niira Radia’s Nayati Healthcare dedicated 200 beds at Nayati Medicity, Mathura, which is the group’s flagship medical care centre. Out of these 200 beds, 98 were isolation and high dependency beds, while 102 were ICU beds. Nayati Hospital Agra has also been turned into a Level 1 quarantine centre, upon the request of the Uttar Pradesh government.
With major private medical care providers like Niira Radia’s venture Nayati Healthcare joining forces with the state and the central governments, the nation’s fight against the quickly spreading coronavirus is gaining ground. As the private healthcare players work in sync with the public healthcare system, the country is inching towards a better and more robust response against the Covid-19 pandemic.
