New Limit For British Airlines’ Flights From London To Accra.

There are just five days a week in which passengers may fly British Airways’ Accra-London-Accra route

According to the most recent development, travelers must choose alternate flights on other airlines if they wish to fly the Accra-London-Accra route on Mondays and Thursdays.

Moreover, this implies that travelers will face the difficulty of obtaining transit visas before reaching their ultimate destination.

Transit visas are furthermore required for passengers flying with KLM, a Dutch carrier.

A related development is that the Netherlands Embassy in Ghana is allegedly contemplating implementing a quota system for the quantity of visas that its employees are allowed to issue.

When put into effect, it may make it challenging for travelers taking KLM from Schiphol to London to get at their destination on time.

KLM is not the only airline in this scenario; Air France and Brussels Airlines are also asking for transit permits.

All of these stringent changes are intended to implement the Brexit regulation.

Travelers may, however, take a flight on Kenyan Airways or Ethiopian Airlines to experience the London transit route.

The airline’s action is a part of its attempts to provide consumers assurance.

According to the airline, the summer season would be covered by the decrease in its scheduled flight to Ghana and other countries.

British Airlines claims that the change would boost operational resilience to make customers feel secure after the effect of the covid-19 epidemic on the aviation sector.

The airline issued an apology for any trouble this may have caused and stated it had given passengers the option to rebook for other flights.

“To give maximum flexibility, we’re providing customers the choice to switch flights and, where appropriate, using bigger aircraft, allowing more passengers to fly as close to their original departure time as possible,” the statement reads.

Customers may be required to follow up directly with their travel agent for specific flights. Customers who decide against travelling may get a full refund in accordance with our Standard Consumer Rules, the message promised.

According to the statement, numerous agreements with other carriers are also in place to assist customers who need to rebook.

These are already in place with Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines, Singapore Airlines City line, Qatar Airways, and Lufthansa, it was said.

Customers have been urged to visit the Trade Help website for a complete explanation of the policy in light of this.

The whole statement is provided below:

Hello, Dear Trading Partner

One of the sectors most severely affected by the epidemic was aviation; airports and airlines are having similar problems as they restore their operations and deal with the ongoing effects of Covid.

As a company, we are concentrating on three key areas: our clients and valued partners; the largest hiring effort in our history; and boosting our operational resilience to help our clients feel more secure.

To help with this, we’ve made the challenging but necessary decision to scale back on our summertime schedule.

We apologies for any inconvenience this may cause for the travel arrangements of our mutual customers.

To provide customers the most flexibility, we’re allowing them to switch flights, and we’re using bigger planes where it makes sense, so that more people can fly as close to the time of their original departure as feasible.

Customers may be required to follow up directly with their travel agent for certain flights. Customers who decide against travelling may get a full refund in accordance with our Standard Consumer Rules.

In order to assist consumers in rebooking, we also have many agreements in place with different airlines. These are now in effect with Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways, and Lufthansa (including City line).

For a complete description of the policy, please visit the BA Trade Support page. Partners must get in touch with us for the ticket reissue if they want to rebook passengers on Lufthansa.

To enable us to contact clients should there be any changes to their planned itinerary, please make sure we have the most recent customer contact information specified inside the PNR or updated through “Change My Booking.”
