National Education Day

Without education there is no existence of humanity and any other human presence, Education plays very important role in enhancing person’s knowledge and developing a good mindset. National Education Day is celebrated on November 11th every year.

National Education Day is celebrated in the memory of Late Maulana Abul Kalam Azad who was an Indian freedom and activist and also first education minister of India.

Maulana Abul Kalam Azad was an idol man and he proved in his lifetime that a person can make a lot of difference just with his knowledge and patience. He belonged to a poor family and from that point to becoming first Indian Education Minister he came a very long way.

Education is the only thing which cannot be bought and snatched; the knowledge only stays with the person which makes important for everyone to know about its value.

 History of National Education Day

As mentioned above, this day is celebrated in memory of India’s first education minister and Indian freedom fighter who contributed in India’s freedom.

He had immense knowledge and he showed that education can change a lot of things in an individual’s life.

 The decision to celebrate his birth anniversary of Late Maulana Abul Kalam Azad was taken by Minister of Human Resource and development (India) in 2008, from that year every 11th November is celebrated as National Education Day.

One of Best Engineering colleges in World, IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) which produce millions of stars per year, the idea of such prestigious and knowledge oriented institute was given by Azad Sir. He believed that in schools, colleges and laboratories, the future of a nation is designed. He also contributed in many industries and other educational strategies.

It is believed that Azad Sir was the architect of Indian Education system, fun fact is that Azad Sir was also first Vice-president on independent India while being educational Minister which shows his true ability.

Things to know about Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad

He was born on 11th of November, 1888 and died on 22nd February 1958. His real and full name is Abul Kalam Ghulam Muhiyuddin and mostly addressed and known as Maulana Azad.

He was a freedom fighter who fought for freedom of Indian via peace and his knowledge, he was also a journalist and he used to believe that a nation can be only build via educational knowledge.

He wrote many books about important of education and it is important to make people aware about it.

He was also awarded as Bharat Ratna which is highest civilian honor of the country for his remarkable contributions.

As he played such important roles in many things he was also added into the constitute assembly in which Indian constitution was being drafted.
