NALCO appreciates OSL Group, led by Mahimananda Mishra for performance records
OSL Group MD Mahimanada Mishra attains success in handling vessel MT CHEMROAD LILY and MT CHEM HARVEST
Setting benchmarks of success with significant achievements, Orissa Stevedores Limited (OSL Group) has recently garnered appreciation from the principal employer National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) for its excellent performance. Under the leadership of Mahimananda Mishra, the group has been successful in timely handling the vessel MT CHEMROAD LILY in September 2020 and MT CHEM HARVEST in October 2020.
The achievement comes as no surprise, considering the past performance of OSL Group. In its recent accomplishment, it also created a new record in handling cargo at the Vizag (Visakhapatnam) port. As per the official data, a record quantity of 5,769 tonnes with ship crane hook output of 481 tonnes calcined petroleum coke in bulk cargo into hopper and subsequent shore bagging into jumbo bags of Hindalco Industries Ltd, was discharged from m.v Punkt at East Quay-6 on January 9, 2021.

OSL Group has been a pioneer since 1988 when heavy melting scrap used to be handled at the Vizag port. It now retains the number one stevedore in the country to handle the import and export of alumina powder in bulk.
In the year 2016, OSL Group was also awarded by the Visakhapatnam Port Trust for attaining a record loading of 2,966 meters of ‘Aluminium Ingots’ to m.v RIVA in 24 hours.
