NAATI Adds Marathi to CCL Test

NAATI has added Marathi to its list of CCL (Certified Community Language) tests. From 1 December 2021, candidates can submit applications to take the NAATI Marathi test. Testing will take place in February 2022. Limited test slots will be available for this language.

Adding NAATI Marathi to the CCL testing

As of 1 December, the NAATI Credentialed Community Language test will now include Marathi. The new language will be part of the CCL testing and will award 5 points towards permanent residency in Australia through the 189 and 190 visa streams. It’s an excellent opportunity for students who speak the language well to prepare for the exam. The planning process can be done in a number of ways, including taking online courses or purchasing study materials to help prepare for the test.

The NAATI CCL test, which is conducted verbally, is a fairly straightforward test. It consists of two dialogues, each representing a conversation between a native English speaker and a native Language Other Than an English speaker. Each dialogue has about three hundred words and is broken into sections of 35 words or less. The test takes 20 minutes to complete, and results are mailed to you within eight to ten weeks.

The CCL tests follow standardized examination procedures. Applicants are provided with written and oral instructions prior to the test. It is important to follow these instructions or risk disqualification. All test materials are owned by NAATI and are provided by the organization. The applicant is responsible for returning these materials to NAATI after the test, and it is not permitted to keep copies of the answer papers or test recordings.

The language is divided into three distinct dialects: Standard Marathi, Warhadi Marathi, and Dangi.

If you want to have your documents translated from English to Marathi, it’s best to use a professional translation service. You cannot simply use Google Translate for translation, as it may not be able to render the meaning of the words accurately. You should also be careful with translators, as a poorly translated document could not be accepted by NAATI.

Before settling on a particular translator, make sure to check the company‘s certification. This ensures that you are hiring a professional who follows all the regulations and has been accredited by the NAATI. This is especially important when you are trying to get your documents translated for immigration or other legal purposes.
