For a long time, we have explored this idea through mirrors. We have seen how a well placed full length mirror can transform a room, making it feel bigger, brighter, and more alive. But we have always known that mirrors are just one part of the story. A home is a collection of pieces that work together, a harmony of function and form.

This is why we felt a pull to go further. We wanted to bring our passion for good design and quality beyond the looking glass and into the very fabric of your home. This is the story behind our new collection of furniture.

When we began this journey, we set ourselves a very clear mission. We wanted to source and design furniture that we would be proud to have in our own homes. This came down to two core principles that could not be compromised: thoughtful design and lasting quality.

What does ‘good design’ actually mean? For us, it’s a design that not only looks beautiful but also feels right. It should solve a problem, whether that’s a cluttered hallway or a living room that lacks a focal point. It can bring a sense of warmth to a space, a special feeling that greets you when you walk through the door. A good design considers the visual and the tactile, from the clean lines of a silhouette to the satisfying texture of a handle.

But even the most beautiful design can fall flat if the quality isn’t there to back it up. Quality is the promise that a piece is not just for today, but for many years to come. It’s in the sturdiness of the construction, the smoothness of a drawer glide, and the durability of the finish. You can feel quality in the weight of a piece and see it in the attention to detail.

It is the meeting of these two ideals—style and substance—that forms the foundation of our entire collection. One cannot exist without the other.

With this philosophy as our guide, we are so pleased to introduce our five new furniture pieces. Each one is an expression of our commitment to creating a more beautiful and organised home.

This new range includes three distinct drawer units: the elegant Reede Tallboy, the natural Raya Six Drawer, and the softly curved Ruelle Six Drawer. Alongside them, we have two incredibly versatile cabinets: the slim Risa Shoe Cabinet and the adaptable Renne Shoe Cabinet.

These five pieces were not chosen at random. They were carefully developed to address the real storage needs we see in modern New Zealand homes. From crafting the initial concepts to refining the final details, our focus was on three key elements we believe are essential in great furniture: Texture, Versatility, and Quality.

A room filled only with flat, smooth surfaces can sometimes feel a little cold or one dimensional. Texture is what brings warmth, depth, and personality to a space. It invites touch and engages the senses.

In this collection, you will see a celebration of texture, particularly through the use of vertical fluted design. This beautiful detail can be seen on the drawer fronts of the Reede Tallboy and the Ruelle Six Drawer, as well as the doors of the Renne Cabinet. The gentle, repeating lines create a stunning play of light and shadow that changes throughout the day, adding a layer of visual interest and softness to a room. It’s a design element that feels both contemporary and timeless.

For a different kind of texture, the Raya Six Drawer features stunning natural rattan panels. This brings an organic, earthy feel to the piece, perfect for creating a relaxed, coastal, or bohemian inspired space. It’s a wonderful way to add a touch of nature to your interior design.

We believe that furniture should work for you and your lifestyle. Its function should not be so rigid that it can only live in one room or serve one purpose. Versatility was therefore a cornerstone in our design process.

While all our pieces are designed to be flexible, the star of the show in this regard is undoubtedly the Renne Cabinet. At first glance, it is a beautifully minimalist two door cabinet. But its true magic lies inside. The Renne was designed with three fully adjustable shelves. This simple feature transforms it from a dedicated shoe cabinet into an all purpose storage hero. You can easily change the shelf height to store board games in the lounge, spare linens in the hallway, or even supplies in a home office. It’s a piece that can truly evolve as your family’s needs change.

This idea of versatility extends to all our pieces. A tallboy like the Reede isn’t just for a bedroom; its small footprint makes it an ideal storage solution for a narrow entryway or a dining room that needs a spot for tablecloths and cutlery. The Risa Shoe Cabinet, with its incredibly slim tilt out design, is a master of disguise, keeping clutter at bay in even the tightest of spaces.

All five of our new furniture pieces are constructed from a high quality, 15mm thick MDF. This provides a solid and stable foundation, ensuring the piece feels substantial and durable. We chose this material for its consistency and strength, allowing for precise construction and a flawless finish. You can see this quality in the clean joins and the solid feel of the overall structure.

But it goes beyond the main material. It’s in the smooth metal runners that allow the drawers to glide open and shut with ease. It’s in the sturdy legs that provide reliable support, and the quality handles that feel good in your hand. These are the details that elevate a piece of furniture from being merely functional to being a joy to use every day.
