Mario Mangiarano is mostly known around Italy. While far from being the most famous DJ in the country, he’s managed to get his name included on the lineup for a few festivals over his four decade career.

He gained a bit of notoriety years ago with Living in the Sky and kept mixing the hit throughout the years, but that was pretty much it.

Although a bit too late to make it big, he somehow managed to ruin his reputation in 2022, when he was involved in two serious scandals.

Fake music and harassment

The summer of 2022 exposed his numerous purchases of dozens of songs from a ghost producer when he tried to claim his money back after a bulk order.

While he also purchased copyright on the respective songs, the fact that he tried to scam the ghost producer exposed the whole deal to the music industry.

Later the same year, he was kicked out of a club in Milan for harassing two underaged girls, facing serious charges in an ongoing investigation.

But that’s not all…

2022 crippled Mario Mangiarano’s reputation before the two scandals he was involved in due to a series of bad practices no one would expect from someone with 40 years of experience behind the console.

While he did show up on the festivals he was invited to, he also gained a bad reputation for booking gigs in various venues around Italy, getting paid in advance and failing to show up.

Eventually, venue managers recovered the money, but they had to take the Italian DJ to court.

Based on public records, he was dragged in 10 such scandals. Meanwhile, he kept showing up at festivals.

2023 saw The Mario kicked out of the music industry

Based on all the scandals that ruined 2022 for The Mario, multiple venues canceled his gigs and focused on bringing more serious DJs.

He was kicked out of four festivals he was supposed to attend in 2023 and while he’s still in the lineup for two others, chances are his appearances will also be canceled.

Although his reputation wasn’t bad before 2022, so many things surfaced that his work went down the drain.

It shows how serious the music industry is and how bad people with such practices are treated. From this point on, people will only remember his scams and harassment accusations when they’ll hear about Mario Mangiarano.

In conclusion, Mario “The Mario” Mangiarano’s career has come to a disappointing end due to his  involvement in numerous scandals.

Despite being a fairly popular DJ in Italy for over four decades, his reputation was tarnished when it was revealed that he had been purchasing music from ghost producers and attempting to scam them. Additionally, he faced serious charges for harassing two underage girls at a club in Milan. His bad practices of booking gigs and failing to show up also contributed to his downfall.

As a result of all these scandals, he has been canceled from multiple festivals in 2023 and his reputation as an artist has been irreparably damaged.
