March Madness Sweet 16/Elite 8 Sites

March Madness is one of the best times of the year in college basketball. When the committee announces the bracket, everyone wants to know what sites they are going to be to. It’s all about trying to get to the ultimate destination in the Final Four, which will be held at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas on Saturday, April 1st, and Monday, April 3rd.

There are other cool sites to check out beforehand throughout the NCAA Tournament, which makes the whole experience unique. Odds to win March Madness change from week to week. What are some of the sites for the Sweet 16/Elite 8 areas this year?

T-Mobile Arena (Las Vegas)

T-Mobile Arena is in Las Vegas, Nevada, and it will be hosting the Western Region of the bracket in the 2023 NCAA Tournament. This is the home of the Vegas Golden Knights in the NHL and the UNLV Rebels are also around this area. T-Mobile Arena is a host destination for a lot of sports fans because the sports industry is thriving in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Also near Las Vegas is Allegiant Stadium which is home to the Las Vegas Raiders also. It wouldn’t be shocking to see them host a Final Four in the future. There are a ton of people that will gamble in this area, watch sports games, and do other things in the area. This is one of the top destination cities in the entire country.

The dates of the Sweet 16-Elite 8 are Thursday, March 23rd-Sunday March 26th. The current number one seed projection for this region at the current moment is the Houston Cougars out of the AAC coached by Kelvin Sampson.

Madison Square Garden (New York, New York)

It’s been a few years since Madison Square Garden hosted Sweet 16-Elite 8 basketball games. This is the World’s most famous arena, home of the New York Knicks in the NBA and the New York Rangers in the NHL. Madison Square Garden has also had other college basketball tournaments, games, and events in the past here also. They are no stranger to the big stage, and it will be interesting to see what kind of teams will play here come March.

The current projected number-one seed for this east region is the Alabama Crimson Tide of the SEC coached by Nate Oats. In the New York City area, there is Times Square to go visit, shows on Broadway, and other top tourist attractions in the area also. There is no other place to play in a big spot other than New York.

However, they have really expensive tickets to big events. Just like the Knicks and the Rangers are expensive to attend, March Madness Sweet 16-Elite 8 won’t be any different either here.

T-Mobile Center (Kansas City, Missouri)

The T-Mobile Center is the home of the BIG12 Conference Tournaments, usually every single year. The projected number one seed at the current moment for this region is the Kansas Jayhawks in the midwest. They are coached by Bill Self. Kansas will be one of the favorites to repeat as champions. There is not much around this area. The only big things sports-wise in this city are the Kansas City Chiefs of the NFL and the Kansas City Royals of the MLB.

With it being a small sports town, it is also a very passionate one also. This would feel like a home game and a major advantage to the Kansas Jayhawks if they made it that far in the NCAA Tournament. That is one of the things about being a potential top overall seed this year in the NCAA Tournament.

KFC Yum Center! (Louisville, Kentucky)

The KFC Yum Center is home to the Louisville Cardinals in the ACC Conference. They won’t be sniffing the NCAA Tournament this season because they are extremely bad unless they somehow win the ACC Conference Tournament in March. At the current moment, the Purdue Boilermakers are projected to be the number one seed in the South Region.  They are coached by Matt Painter in the BIG10 Conference.

This is just a college town at best, and the only thing Louisville is known for is the Louisville baseball bats factory. There is nothing much to do in Kentucky so this is perfect for a small town for people who love college basketball. This city is also known for its college basketball also.
