Since then, owner Linda Jasmine Walker has been working on other exciting products and career milestones of her own.
Linda Jasmine LLC brand, operating as an e-commerce platform, offers a diverse range of designs that include both one-piece and two-piece bikinis, as well as an assortment of soft-spun cotton shirts curated by Linda herself. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant colors prevalent in her hometown of Miami, Florida, Linda’s designs exude a sunny aesthetic and unique silhouettes that are distinct to the brand. Having made its grand debut just a year ago, this female-owned business has since concentrated on expanding its presence in the community and beyond. Miami Swim Week was a prime opportunity for the 1901 Collection, and Linda shares her happiness with the event’s turnout.
“The audience was packed, and I think everyone had a lot of fun at the event,” says Linda. “I was so grateful to be invited out alongside other amazing designers, and I’m glad I got to meet so many people who either traveled for the show or came out to support these businesses.”
Following the fashion show, Linda Jasmine’s newest announcement has stirred excitement amongst customers. Coming next year, Linda intends to launch a men’s line of swimwear and apparel. This anticipated release will leave her male customers something to look forward to, and Linda hopes to spend the coming months creating a captivating line of menswear.
“Outside of 1901, there have been other things on my plate that have kept me pretty busy and occupied this Summer,” says Linda. “My own career has taken up a good portion of my time, but a lot of my attention is also given to my kids and their modeling and acting careers. Getting to help them through such an exciting time has been so special for me. I always remind myself to find balance by taking time for me as well as my family.”
“I can’t wait to see where 1901 goes, and I’m so happy to have made it so far in just over a year,” she says. “My mother was the neighborhood seamstress when I was growing up, and her influence is really what inspired me to get into fashion. I’m so thankful for all my blessings in life and how far my career has come so far. To those who are considering starting their own business, my advice is to make sure you have a great support system and stay determined in the face of adversity. I’m lucky enough to have a wonderful husband and children who have always supported my dreams from the beginning, and I can’t wait to see what the next year of hard work brings.”
