
In a heartfelt gesture of compassion and service, the Leo Club of Dhaka Century Plus, with the generous support of the Lions Club of Dhaka Century, organized a day-long free medical service program at Matuail, Jatrabari area as part of Lions International District 315 A1’s October Service Week 2025.
Amid the hustle and hardship of factory life, hundreds of workers received much-needed medical attention including free blood group testing, diabetes checks, and blood pressure measurement. For many, this was their first experience receiving such care without any cost.
Beyond these tests, several individuals suffering from serious eye-related problems were also identified and listed for free eye surgeries, to be arranged soon a small yet powerful promise of hope and light for those who struggle daily to see clearly, both literally and in life.
The event was graced by the presence of several distinguished guests :Ln Jahangir Alam Jitu PMJF, Adviser of Leo Club of Dhaka Century; Ln Jabeer, Co-Adviser; Lion Hasibur Rahman, President of Lions Club of Dhaka Century; and Lion Azmol, Treasurer. The club was further honored by the virtual presence of Leo Arman Hossain Armon, President of Leo District Council 315 A1, whose words of encouragement inspired every volunteer on the ground.
The medical support activities were passionately carried out by a dedicated team of young Leos who embodied the true spirit of service:
Blood Test: Leo Md. Faysal Kanan and Leo Jannat Rahman Anannia
Pressure Measurement: Leo F.S. Suchi, Leo Arfun, and Leo Alve
Diabetes Test: Leo Hanjala Mahmud Prohor, Leo Sawda, Leo Kanij Fatema, and Leo Sinha Akter Hiam
Their collective effort turned an ordinary day into an extraordinary act of kindness. The smiles on the workers’ faces, the relief in their eyes, and the gratitude they expressed were proof that even a simple medical camp can heal more than just the body it can touch hearts.
Through this initiative, Leo and Lions Clubs once again reaffirmed their unwavering dedication to serving humanity and promoting community well-being, echoing the timeless motto “We Serve.”
