Latest Long-Range NJ Winter Forecast Released As Snow Is Expected

NEW JERSEY — Aside from a Nor’easter in December, winter in New Jersey has so far been mild and largely snow-free. More of the same is expected for the rest of the winter – even as snow is expected to hit New Jersey this week and Sunday is expected to be very chilly.

The newest long-term February forecast from The Weather Channel says New Jersey should expect a continuation of the mild temperatures in February – after several inches fall in the Garden State this week.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook across New Jersey now that snow and sleet are expected from late Monday into Tuesday.

The National Weather Service drew up two scenarios for what could happen:

Temperatures are also expected to be lower than normal on Sunday:

More snow is expected during the day on Tuesday, but the predictions are uncertain at this time.

Meteorologists with The Weather Channel, meanwhile, predict February will be warmer than average in the Northeast.
