What all documents do you need to get married in Dubai?

  1. First and foremost- to-be Bride’s affirmative approval.
  2. Nationality certificates of both
  3. Religions of the couple
  4. Citizenship of the two lovers
  5. Valid UAE Residency status of both the love birds.
  6. Valid and working passports
  7. Emirates IDs of the couple about to get married
  8. Visa status of the couple 
  9. DHA primary healthcare centers- premarital screening test results.
  10. Birth certificates of the couple to know the ages are above 18.
  11. Proof of divorce or death of the previous spouse.
  12. Valid working IDs of the witnesses to the divine act of marriage.
  13. Blessings of the Almighty.

How to get married in Dubai if you are a Muslim Expat Couple?

There are a few rules you ought to follow when you want to get married in Dubai-

  1. Affirmative approval of the bride
  2. Both the Bride and Groom should be 18 years old and above. If they are not, seek a Judge’s approval for the same.
  3. A Judge’s approval should be called for if the age is double the age of either one of them.
  4. Presence of the Bride’s Father/someone designated as a proxy by him.
  5. If the Bride’s Father is not alive, the presence of the Bride’s Guardian in the form of Uncle/ Brother will also do.
  6. If the Bride’s Father is a non-Muslim, get hold of a NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE from the UAE Embassy.
  7. Proof of marital status if either or both the bride and groom are divorced/widowers.
  8. Presence of two Muslim gentlemen is mandatory
