The beautiful journey Kedarkantha peak The journey begins in Dehradun. It takes approximately 10 hours to drive from Dehradun to Sankri, which is at 6400 feet elevation. The distance is 220km from Dehradun. It takes approximately 5 hours to trek from Sankri to Jadu Ka Talab, which is located at 9100 feet. This trail is a wonderful way to see lush meadows and dense pine forests, beautiful streams, and magnificent maple trees. This is the first campsite that trekkers will need to camp in tents. The trek to Kedarkantha base is approximately 4.5kms from Jadu ka Talab. The trekkers will pass through lush meadows, and they will be able to see multiple snow-capped peaks encircling the area. Next is Kedarkantha peak, which is located at 12,500 feet. This trail is more difficult than others. The breathtaking views of the Himalayas are worth the effort. After climbing the peak, it’s back to the base camp at Horegaon at 8900m. This can be reached the next day. It’s then a trek through dense pine forests back to Sankri the next day. It’s then a return journey to Dehradun, and then a way forward.
